Pet LicenseAll dogs in the City of Warson Woods require a yearly City Dog License. to obtain a dog tag, the current rabies inoculation is required and a fee of $2.00. Animal ControlThe City has an animal Ordinance in effect which prohibits dogs from running at large and defecating on property other than that of the owner or person responsible for the animal. If you have a problem with a dog running at large, call St. Louis County Animal Control at 726-6655. For other dog problems, the resident must sign a complaint against the owner. Solid Waste CollectionThe City has a contract with Veolia as their sole trash collector. Veolia bills each home owner for the service. Collection is on a twice weekly basis with heavy trash pickup on the second collection day of each week. In addition, recycling items are picked up on Fridays, while yard wastes are picked up on Wednesdays. Both recyclable and yard wastes must be placed at the curb for pickup. GOVERNMENT/TAXESThe City of Warson Woods is a Fourth Class Missouri City governed by a Mayor, elected by all registered voters, and eight members of a Board of Aldermen, two elected from each of the four Wards within the City. Elections are held every first Tuesday followed by first Monday in April. In each Ward, one Alderman for a two-year term. Every even-numbered year, a Mayor is elected at large for a term of two years. The Board of Aldermen meets once monthly on the third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall.
