Voter Registration

You may register, transfer your registration or re-register to vote during normal business hours at the City Hall.

Driver's License Information

For information and examination for a Missouri Operator's License, or for issuance or renewal of your State Registration contact the Department of Revenue office at 647-9375 (3234 Laclede Station Road).

Pet License

All dogs in the City of Warson Woods require a yearly City Dog License. to obtain a dog tag, the current rabies inoculation is required and a fee of $2.00.

Animal Control

The City has an animal Ordinance in effect which prohibits dogs from running at large and defecating on property other than that of the owner or person responsible for the animal. If you have a problem with a dog running at large, call St. Louis County Animal Control at 726-6655. For other dog problems, the resident must sign a complaint against the owner. Contact the City Hall 965-3100, for further information.

Permits

Demolition (Residential Areas Only), Building, Excavation and Sign Permits are issued by the City Hall. Plumbing, Electrical and Commercial Occupancy Permits are issued by St. Louis County. For Plumbing Applications, call 889-2808; for Electrical Applications call 889-2082 and for Commercial Applications call 889-2140.

Solid Waste Collection

The City has a contract with Veolia as their sole trash collector. Veolia bills each home owner for the service. Collection is on a twice weekly basis with heavy trash pickup on the second collection day of each week. In addition, recycling items are picked up on Fridays, while yard wastes are picked up on Wednesdays. Both recyclable and yard wastes must be placed at the curb for pickup.

GOVERNMENT/TAXES

The City of Warson Woods is a Fourth Class Missouri City governed by a Mayor, elected by all registered voters, and eight members of a Board of Aldermen, two elected from each of the four Wards within the City. Elections are held every first Tuesday followed by first Monday in April. In each Ward, one Alderman for a two-year term. Every even-numbered year, a Mayor is elected at large for a term of two years.

The Board of Aldermen meets once monthly on the third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. All residents are encouraged and invited to attend.

County Government

The City of Warson Woods is a part of St. Louis County. The County Courthouse is located in Clayton at 41 South Central Avenue. A County Executive and seven local area Councilmen govern. The City of Warson Woods is represented by the councilmen from the fifth district.

State Government

Warson Woods is in the 15th Missouri Senate District and the 87th and 91st Missouri House Districts. The City is represented by the Second United States Congressional District and two Missouri Senators elected at large.

Taxes

Real Estate Taxes and Personal Property Taxes are assessed and collected by St. Louis County.

Sales Tax

Missouri State Sales Tax is 6.725 per cent on all retail sales of which the City receives one and one-half per cent and the County three-fourths of one per cent as transportation taxes.
